Origins Virtual Office offers a platform that has been designed to provide virtual services to Investment Groups which may be of particular interest to those groups with members who are not resident in Kenya. The online virtual office is a secure site and access is restricted to the group's authorised users.
This is an online platform that offers Investment Groups a virtual office to have meetings, store information, vote on issues and provide updates on group activities. The platform is designed with an actual office in mind giving members a relaxed access to the following areas:
The Reception
This area houses the Group's profile as well as the individual member profiles. Contact information for members will be stored here while enquiries can be sent directly to Origins IGA from this area.
The Filing Room
This area acts as an online document repository for the group. Members of the group can upload key group documents at any time, such as management and audited accounts, legal documentation such as the Shareholders Agreement and Memorandum & Articles of Association in addition to Strategic Plans, minutes of Board and General Meetings, investment policies and any other group documents.
Your Origins IGA relationship manager will continuously upload relevant documentation such as investment related reports to be viewed by the groups.
The Meeting Room
Members of the group or various committee members can log in and hold online meetings. The meetings are set up in 'CHAT' format and these discussions can be saved as minutes.
The meeting room also houses historical dates, agendas and minutes of previous meetings. Reminders for online meetings can also be sent directly to members from here via email and sms.
My Desk
This has personalised content for the individual member and is accessible only to them. Individual members have access to:
- A message platform to view relevant messages related to the group as well as send out messages to the group.
- Receive notification of new documents that have been stored in the filing room, requests for meetings etc.
- Change individual contacts and profiles.
- Send individual enquiries to Origins IGA.
The Notice Board
This stores the general calendar for the group's events and can be viewed by all members. Items on the calendar include meetings, social events, committee meetings, board meetings, trips etc.
The Lounge
The lounge provides a platform for different investment groups to interact. Groups will have access to each other's profiles and also get a chance to hold various discussions such as potential co-investment or syndication opportunities.
The Ballot Box
This provides an online voting platform for the group. Members can vote via secret or open ballot on various issues such as which investments to make or exit from, election of officials and so on. Voting can also be done via sms.
